Is QR For Me really free?

Yes. There is no paid tier, no credit card and no export paywall.

Will you start charging for codes I already made?

No. Static QR codes contain the data themselves, so a code you downloaded keeps working independently of this site.

Can I use the codes commercially?

Yes — you own the codes you generate and can use them on products, packaging and marketing material.

Free QR Code Generator

Plenty of QR tools are free until you press download. QR For Me is not: every code, every format and every resolution is free, there is no watermark, and you never have to create an account to export a file.

What free actually means here

1Unlimited codes — there is no daily cap or credit system.
2No watermark or branding baked into your export.
3All four formats (PNG, SVG, JPEG, PDF) at every resolution.
4No account needed; signing in is optional and only adds cloud history.

Good fits for a free static code

One-off event signage and handouts
Small business menus, price lists and contact cards
Classroom worksheets and library shelf labels
Personal projects, résumés and portfolio links

Styling is free too

Gradients, dot shapes, corner styles, transparent backgrounds and logo embedding are all part of the free tool — none of it is gated behind an upgrade prompt.

Free downloads in every format

Export PNG, JPEG, SVG or PDF at 512, 1024 or 2048 px. SVG and PDF stay crisp at any print size, so a poster-sized code costs nothing extra.

Free without selling your data

Your QR code is rendered in your browser with JavaScript — the text, URL, password or contact details you type are never sent to our servers. We only record anonymous usage counts (the QR type and how many characters it contained) so we can keep the tool healthy. Content is only stored if you sign in and explicitly save a code to your history.
